With eight decades of life experiences to draw upon for inspiration, Grady Kimseyenjoys critical and popular success as a sculptor, potterpainter and instructor. He earned his B.A. in fine arts from the University of Tennessee in 1950, and then completed his master's in education from Rollins College in Winter Park in 1969. Kimsey served as a professor of art for 20 years at Seminole Community College, where he founded the Fine Arts Gallery in 1980. His awards are many, including The Council of Arts and Sciences for Central Florida Award for "Outstanding Achievement in the Arts" and a State of Florida Individual Artist Fellowship.
In the dual exhibitions co-curated by Barbara Tiffany, Curator of Gallery Exhibitions and Manager of Painting & Drawing, and David Cumbie, Sculpture Garden Curator and Sculpture Studio Manager, both Grady Kimsey's enduring creative spirit and his extensive mentorship over many decades are honored.
These exhibitions are funded in part by Orange County Government through the Arts & Cultural Affairs Program.

His national exhibition record spans nearly six decades with work represented in many major collections and museums.
